Andy lives with his wife Karen and their three children Holly 15, Ryan 12 and Rory 9 in Cambridge, which is ideally situated for mountain training and for getting to Ben Nevis on a Friday night! After graduating from Leeds Medical School Andy went on to become a General Practitioner before joining Nuffield Health where he now works as Chief Operating Officer in Epsom - which is also ideally situated for mountain training and getting to Ben Nevis on a Friday night!

Richard has appointed him as team medic, to add to the weight of his rucksack and look after his ankle.

Andy says:

" It's great to be outdoors and get involved in a challenge like the Three Peaks.  Clearly finishing in Wales is the right choice as I'll be arranging for my Mum (Kathy) and Dad (Mike) who live in Denbighshire to pick me although I will probably need to mention the finishing time nearer the event!

I am really looking forward to being part of a great team, having some fun and raising some money for our chosen charities."

Andy is a champion for well being and excellence in healthcare.  In any spare time he enjoys doing the jobs on the blackboard, difficult homework, running and cycling.
